My name is Anne Powles.  I am now at the latter end of a lifetime of experiences. During my working life I was variously and sometimes contemporaeously, wife, mother of four, lawyer, teacher and psychologist. I have also been a serial education junkie.  As are we all, I have been an observer of the world around me. Here I have recorded some of my memories, observations and theorisings.

I only read some of your blog because it was linked by Denis Wright. Again I find an otherwise intelligent person completely indoctrinated by feminist nonsense. When will oranges and apples be ‘equal’? Glad my daughters are happy and well-balanced.

Thank you for your comments Jim. I agree that there are differences between men and women but still protest that these should not be differences imposed on freedom in many life choices. I, like your daughters, have been very happy and I do not think happiness is in any way limited or can be unbalanced by the processes of thinking. I was very lucky to have had many opportunities in life and I am grateful that I had supportive and thoughtful parents, who also felt free to expressed their opinions. I am concerned about some people in the world who do not have the options that I was fortunate enough to have. I am very afraid that, in the future, this might even be some of the very young girls growing up in our western society today.
